Volunteer for August Fundays

As a not-for-profit community organization, we rely on volunteers- this could be you! We’re currently looking for both Bowen Island community members and high school students from Bowen Island, West Vancouver or North Vancouver to help out with our August Fundays events.

For high schoolers we offer hours of completion for the BC Graduation Transitions 30 hours of work experience. No experience necessary (great for people looking to bolster their resume for part-time or summer jobs). Upon volunteer completion, we will provide a reference letter as well as a contact person to use for references for your future work experiences.

We need people for these roles:

Heritage Scavenger Hunt

Commitment: Saturday, Aug. 13. From 12pm-5pm. Includes orientation and setup.

-8 people to lead an activity station in pairs (Snug Cove area)

Sundaes on Sunday Bocce Bowl

Commitment: Sunday, Aug. 21. From 9am-2pm. Includes orientation and setup.

-2 people to help lead the Bocce Bowl tournament

-2 people to serve ice cream

  • Practicing leadership skills when directing people for the bocce tournament
