Einar Nielsen, co-founder of Lieben with his wife Muriel, composed a song titled “Bowen Island.” The Museum & Archives is inviting musical Bowen Islanders of all ages to interpret this song in whichever way they like or even to create their own Bowen Island song. You can pick up a copy of Einar’s sheet music in our office any day of the week between 10-4, or print it out yourself from the link provided below.
The finalists will be selected by a panel of historians and invited to perform their rendition of Einar’s song at the opening of our summer exhibition “Party’s On: Bowen’s Completely Incomplete History of Celebration” on June 25th. Your performance will be scheduled between 2-4 pm and you will hear from us on June 20th.
The winner will be chosen at the opening reception. Prizes are available!
