Join us Thursday, August 24 from 3:00 – 4:00 PM as Professor Emeritus Jack Little presents his talk on “Bowen Island’s Group Picnics During the Union Steamship Era: An Illustrated Lecture”. We have a wealth of picnic panoramas at the Archives, and this presentation will provide for a very interesting look into the stories behind these.
In 1967 the Bowen Island Museum & Archives began collecting material about the history of the "Happy Isle". The Museum & Archives consists of two buildings in a park-like setting containing museum displays and an extensive museum and archival collection which exhibit the unique history of Bowen Island.
